| description | In this paper we introduce a new application called multimedia annotation, which is currently developed in the EU-funded ACTS project DIANE. Starting from the annotation scenarios, we derive different system requirements, a multimedia document model, quality of service and in particular - synchronisation requirements. Abstractions, such as stream components and clocks are presented. The paper concludes with an annotation example, showing the involvement of previously described system components. |
